Wouldn't It Be Great?
The idea for this project came from Andy Field (@andyfield on Twitter), and you can find his original VLE course here.
Having looked at a couple of videos about the use of technology in the future (see link in the sidebar), I asked my Year 9 ICT class (13/14 years old) to get into groups and discuss their ideas of what the future might be like using Etherpad. Students had to pick a memorable word for their Etherpad document, which explains the slightly unusual group names.
We looked at some alternative presentation techniques (including Animoto, Glogster, Mahara & Prezi).
Then, students were tasked with creating a 4 minute presentation to deliver to the class on the topic of 'Technology in 2019' - using any tools they liked, in any format.
Use the links in the sidebar to see their results. I'm rather proud of them, and I hope you're impressed too.
